Merriment 2021 Tree

Set to Shine Bright

As in past years, a beacon of the season will light up Main Street in 2021. However, due to concerns over COVID-19 the Merriment Board of Directors has decided to cancel the lighting ceremony that draws thousands of people downtown.

Merriment on Main has been a Vacaville tradition since 1983, decorating and lighting the community Christmas tree on Main Street on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Starting in 2018, the event has been coordinated by a non-profit organization owned by the community with a Board of Directors of local volunteers and civic leaders.
