WHO WE ARE

The Board of Directors of Merriment on Main is dedicated to keeping the spirit of the holidays alive in Vacaville. For over twenty-five years, Vacaville has turned out in force to celebrate the season. With the help of countless volunteers, our annual event brings thousands together to enjoy the magic and joy.

OUR STORY AND WHAT WE DO

The Reporter newspaper, has held the event since 1983. This year marks a change for the celebration as a nonprofit organization has been formed to continue this important community event. Our dedicated team of volunteers works all year long with our community supporters and sponsors to plan, coordinate, fund and stage our annual celebration.

As in past years, Merriment On Main brings the community together for a night of old fashioned hometown holiday entertainment, carriage rides and refreshments. All activities that night are free to the 14,000+ people who attend. Church groups, community groups, and youth groups are encouraged to participate, to either provide entertainment or free refreshments. Church groups, school groups, community groups and business sponsors are given an opportunity to set up a booth and serve free refreshments. If you would like to participate, be a sponsor or possibly perform that night, message us for more information using the link below.

Please come see our 2020 tree safely.

A big thanks to The Reporter for their extra support, to Summit Crane and Vacaville's City Public Works crews for getting this year's tree in place, and to I-80 Forklift and our volunteers for making the tree sparkle and shine.
